mexican food

we all went to this mexican food joint after the us open final. i followed carl in his intercooled subharu. never tried full fledged mexican food before so this was real exciting for me. Carl paid for my beef buritto which has refried beans, rice, shredded beef and loads of yummy stuffs inside. it tasted wicked. in a good way

us open final sunday

mark invited me to his house to watch the us open final. i got to meet his friends in his place. there were 2 girls from sweden, daphne and evelina. there were 2 burmese brothers who won the 2001 sea games sailing gold medal in KL, Bo and Carl. there was a teochew, ron from cambodia who was very excited to find someone else who understands the language. and then there's mark. he's from palm springs and attend the indian wells tournament every year he's there! he even knows Jose Higueras's son personally! wow. he served choc chip cookies and there was even a plump garfield.

so proud of myself

i finally got to the daunting job of cleaning my room. i think it was left astray since the last 3 weeks. i hesitantly left the job till today. and did it with aplomb. now my room looks....perfect! to reward myself for a job well done, i made myself fish soup.. at 3 o clock in the morning :)

malaysian iron chef

the malaysian stuents society decided to hold a cooking fest where the local culinary skills are showed off. the meat used is pre-dominantly beef and there were loads of adabi-made malay spices shaken generously over the dishes. as an amateur chef, i have no comments on their cooking.

lions park

lion's park is the picnic spot just below my school. there's lotsa ducks around. duck faeces are also aplenty. there's a free horse carriage ride for anyone interested
