first contact with real snow

i followed the first baptist church group to watch the aspen trees turn yellow. it was a pleasant surprise when the trip ended up in the mountains where i got to touch original snow for the first time. there were tiny stalgtites made from ice growing from the leaves. the snow was almost 2 feet deep. there was a beautiful lake nestled among the mountain ranges that was half frozen.
